How it started

Hi, I’m Gábor — a full-time dad of three daughters, and an engineer whenever I can find a bit of quiet time.

Like many parents, I know how quickly things can become overwhelming when one of the kids gets sick. Nights get longer, worry sets in, and suddenly you’re constantly checking temperatures, trying not to wake them, trying not to miss anything. It adds a whole new layer of stress to an already busy life.

I’ve always been the kind of person who looks for practical solutions — tools that make life a little easier. But when it came to something as common as measuring a child’s temperature, nothing really felt right. My daughters hated the process, and I hated disturbing them, especially when they needed rest the most.

That’s when the idea came: what if I could measure their temperature without them even noticing?

One thought led to another, and the concept of Sleep Sentinel PJ was born — something they could simply wear, something comfortable and familiar, doing its job quietly in the background.

At first, I was convinced this must already exist. It felt too obvious. But after a lot of searching, I couldn’t find anything that truly solved the problem the way I imagined it.

So I decided to build it myself — not just as an engineer, but as a parent who needed it.
